Haiti disaster update

NEW! Mother Teresa Children’s Foundation is supporting our orphan rescue teams in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Thanks to an outpouring of donations from our donors, emergency food relief is being provided to several orphan centres throughout Haiti, while plans are being made to rescue even more orphans through MTCF-sponsored community outreaches and child sponsorship programmes.

The impoverished island of Haiti has been dealing with a severe orphan crisis for decades. Since the devastating January earthquake the distressing orphan situation has been greatly magnified. It’s been estimated that close to one million Haitian children have been left orphaned by the tragedy, a situation that could break this tiny nation’s already meagre resources.

MTCF is committed to its mission of meeting the needs of suffering and helpless children around the world. With the ongoing financial support of our faithful donors, MTCF can continue to provide food, emergency shelter, and relief aide to the precious children of Haiti.
